Covid- 19 Information

* Please see bottom of page for recent updates

Due to the global pandemic that we have all been affected by with regards to the coronavirus this has meant that when it comes to massage treatment, I have had to change the way I now manage and deliver treatment.

I have included important information on new ways of how things will be achieved going forwards to still be able to offer a second to none treatment. Please take the time to read these as it is important for you and I in keeping everyone safe. I have also added information from the NHS website in the cases of high and moderate risk categories. If you are classed as in the high-risk category, I must advise that I will not be able to treat you. I apologise for any upset this may cause but your safety and well-being must be of the highest importance and I would not wish to put anyone at any unnecessary risk.

People at high risk (clinically extremely vulnerable)

People at high risk from coronavirus include people who:

  • have had an organ transplant

  • are having chemotherapy or antibody treatment for cancer, including immunotherapy

  • are having an intense course of radiotherapy (radical radiotherapy) for lung cancer

  • are having targeted cancer treatments that can affect the immune system (such as protein kinase inhibitors or PARP inhibitors)

  • have blood or bone marrow cancer (such as leukaemia, lymphoma or myeloma)

  • have had a bone marrow or stem cell transplant in the past 6 months, or are still taking immunosuppressant medicine

  • have been told by a doctor they have a severe lung condition (such as cystic fibrosis, severe asthma or severe COPD)

  • have a condition that means they have a very high risk of getting infections (such as SCID or sickle cell)

  • are taking medicine that makes them much more likely to get infections (such as high doses of steroids or immunosuppressant medicine)

  • have a serious heart condition and are pregnant

Information:

If you're at high risk from coronavirus, you should have received a letter from the NHS.

Speak to your GP or hospital care team if you have not been contacted and think you should have been.

People at moderate risk (clinically vulnerable)

People at moderate risk (clinically vulnerable)

People at moderate risk from coronavirus include people who:

I have also been educating myself in regards to this horrible virus making sure that the premises are Covid-19 secure and to also make sure that the environment is suitable for treatments to be delivered again as safely as possible. So, I have completed some courses to make sure that the government advice is followed as strictly as possible and so that I can offer the best environment to return to treatment in.

To all my existing clients and those who are new whom are yet to book, I hope you feel safe in the knowledge that I have done all I can to enable Kinetic to open its doors again. I will continue to update any government guidelines and to implement any necessary precautions so that you can continue to have your treatment in the safest way possible. I look forward to seeing you soon.

Update to restrictions announcement made by government 19th July 2021

Please be aware that no procedures will be changed in relation to the recent government announcement made on the 19th July 2021.

I shall still be wearing FULL PPE and also ask that you continue to wear a mask. Sports massage is still classed as a close contact service and to best protect both yourself and I this will not be changing. Neither will any of the cleaning procedures or restrictions put in place to protect everyone during the pandemic. This will be reassessed again when deemed necessary.

Last update from government relating to Covid-19 Pandemic

In line with the last announcement made by the government, there is no longer a requirement to wear a face mask to be able to receive treatment. I am still leaving time between clients appointments and cleaning between each client I see. This is to maintain a high level of hygeine but also, still being vigilant as Covid is still with us and will be an ongoing virus that we must try and manage as best we can. I thank you for your understanding with regards to this and if these rules and procedures do have to change again, I will of course follow the guidance and recommendations given to us as therapists.
